Service Description

At The Goat Farm, lactate testing isn’t just about numbers, it’s about understanding how your physiology actually responds to stress. Developing a better relationship between the external and the internal signals in training. We assess how your body produces and combusts lactate across increasing intensities to accurately define your aerobic threshold (LT1), anaerobic threshold (LT2), and the performance gap between them. This gives us a precise map of your physiology, so every training session from this point forward has purpose. Whether you’re a 5K runner, marathoner, or trail ultra athlete, this test shows us where you are now and what’s limiting you from finding your next level of performance. What We Measure During a graded treadmill test, we assess: - Blood Lactate (mmol/L) - Heart Rate response - Running Speed & Pace - RPE (perceived effort) - Ventilatory observations - Lactate rise patterns between stages This allows us to identify: LT1 (Aerobic Threshold) – your durability and aerobic efficiency marker. LT2 (Anaerobic Threshold) – your sustainable high-performance ceiling. The LT1–LT2 Gap – a key indicator of aerobic development and training balance. What you get: - Full Lactate test report - Data interpretation - Individualised training zones and paces - Training recommendations *Rest assured if its determined to be unreliable data due to testing error we will reschedule another test free of charge.*


Cancellation Policy

To ensure a smooth and effective experience, please read the following policy carefully: 1. Arrival & Preparation - Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your session. - Ensure you are well-rested, hydrated, and have followed any specific pre-test instructions form your facilitator. (e.g. fasting, avoiding caffeine). - Bring appropriate clothing, shoes, and any nutrition or fluids you may need pre or post-test. 2. Cancellations & Rescheduling - Preparations for the test will have been made well in advance therefore: - Cancellations require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice. - Late cancellations are entitled to a rebooking but no refund. - Rescheduling within the 72 hour window will be subject to availability. 3. Medical Clearance - By attending the session, you confirm you are in good physical health and have no known medical conditions that could place you at risk during exercise testing. - If unsure, please consult your doctor before participating. 4. Data & Privacy - Your data is stored securely and used for performance analysis only. - You may request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time. - By attending you are consenting to allowing The Goat Farm to use any videos or photos taken for their website and social media. - Please be sure to let us know if you do not wish to be recorded or photographed for testing purposes and we will not take any photos or videos during the session. 5. Conduct - We expect all clients to behave respectfully and responsibly in our space. - Unsafe or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate termination of the session without refund.
