Sweat Testing Endurance performance isn’t just about fitness it’s also about fueling and hydration. Sweat testing allows us to identify how much fluid and key electrolytes your body loses during exercise so we can build a personalised hydration strategy that keeps you performing at your best. Every athlete sweats differently. Two runners training side-by-side in the same conditions can lose vastly different amounts of fluid and electrolytes. Without understanding your individual sweat profile, it’s easy to under-hydrate, over-hydrate, or lose too much sodium, which can lead to fatigue, cramping, reduced performance, or even serious health risks during long events. At The Goat Farm we perform practical, athlete-specific sweat testing designed for endurance sports like trail running, ultrarunning, and road racing, and even cycling or hiking. What We Measure Your test provides insight into the key variables that determine hydration needs: • Sweat Rate – how much fluid you lose per hour • Sodium Concentration – how much sodium you lose in your sweat • Total Electrolyte Loss – estimated sodium and potassium loss during training and racing • Fluid Replacement Needs – how much you should drink per hour • Electrolyte Replacement Needs – how much sodium and potassium you should consume per hour What You’ll Receive After the test you’ll receive: • Your individual sweat rate and sodium profile • Recommended fluid intake per hour for training and racing • Recommended sodium intake per hour • Guidance for hot vs cool conditions • Example hydration and electrolyte strategies for long runs and races • Advice on how to combine hydration with carbohydrate fueling for your training and racing. Cancellation Policy
To ensure a smooth and effective experience, please read the following policy carefully: 1. Arrival & Preparation - Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your session. - Ensure you are well-rested, hydrated, and have followed any specific pre-test instructions form your facilitator. (e.g. fasting, avoiding caffeine). - Bring appropriate clothing, shoes, and any nutrition or fluids you may need pre or post-test. 2. Cancellations & Rescheduling - Preparations for the test will have been made well in advance therefore: - Cancellations require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice. - Late cancellations are entitled to a rebooking but no refund. - Rescheduling within the 72 hour window will be subject to availability. 3. Medical Clearance - By attending the session, you confirm you are in good physical health and have no known medical conditions that could place you at risk during exercise testing. - If unsure, please consult your doctor before participating. 4. Data & Privacy - Your data is stored securely and used for performance analysis only. - You may request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time. - By attending you are consenting to allowing The Goat Farm to use any videos or photos taken for their website and social media. - Please be sure to let us know if you do not wish to be recorded or photographed for testing purposes and we will not take any photos or videos during the session. 5. Conduct - We expect all clients to behave respectfully and responsibly in our space. - Unsafe or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate termination of the session without refund.
