The Gold Coast Hinterland Greater Walk 2.0

The First Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk went off so well that we are holding another! This is a TWO day multi-day hike of approximately 52km split over two days. Starting at O'Reilly's and finishing at Springbrook, moderate fitness is recommended, but all are welcome if they are up for the journey!

Your ticket price will include:

- Transport from Springbrook back to your car at O'Reilly's

- 4 meals provided (breakfast Saturday morning, dinner at Binna Burra Lodge Saturday night, breakfast Sunday morning, and cafe lunch for the second day) *Please note BYO dinner Friday night or eat before arrival and BYO packed lunch for Saturday and any other snacks you would like for yourself. -Accomodation for the Friday night before the hike at O'Reilly's in the Safari Tents split between 3 people ready for an early start on the Saturday morning *please note BYO sleeping bag and pillow which will be transported over for you to the next location O'Reilly's Safari Tents

- Accomodation for the night in safari tents at Binna Burra spilt between 4 people  Binna Burra Safari Tents 

- Optional (but reccomended) accomodation at O'reillys again Sunday Night as the Sunday hike is about a 9 hour day with a 2 hour drive back to O'Reilly's from Springbrook. To save a drive down the mountain in the dark we have booked an extra night in the safari tents to relax and get a good nights sleep to allow some recovery time for your body. If however you do need to leave to get to work for Monday that is understandable but we would reccomend taking the day off to get the most out of the experience

Hike Details

Friday:Arrive in the evening for sunset and BYO dinner at O'reillys Campground to meet fellow hikers, have a briefing for the next day and head to bed a in safari tent at a decent hour ready for an early start the next day

Saturday: Sunrise Breakfast and coffee or OJ, 6am departure to Binna Burra to enjoy a meal at the binna burra tea house and sunset with a little surprise. Sleep in Binna Burra safari tents.

Sunday: Sunrise Breakfast and Coffee or OJ,  6am depart towards springbrook national park, lunch at Sawmill Cafe and then finish in Springbrook no later than 4pm. Drive back to O'Reilly's by 6pm for debrief and rest for the night.

Monday:  Wake up and leave at your own time or enjoy more that O'Reilly's has to offer (spa, swimming, breakfast etc.)

Distance: 52km+ split into two days (approx 8 hours hiking per day more specifics to be released later)

Elevation gain: 1800m+

Terrain: National park trails, single track, fire trail, roadside. non technical
